If you're looking for a good movie that's worth watching over and over again, then Tamasha is not your movie. Also known as season 2 episode 8, it stars Radhika Apte and Kangana Ranaut, and it tells the powerful story of a woman who learns to face her own demons by falling in love with a poor boy from Mumbai. This divine romance drama will make you believe in true love - even if it doesn't happen ever again. Tamasha also stars Rajkummar Rao, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Kabir Bedi and Pankaj Tripathi. Its title means "color", and the movie was shot on location in Mumbai. Its first look trailer is also available. The story of Tamasha revolves around a young widow Maraya, who comes to live with her first husband's family after he dies. She finds a job as a maid in a posh household after she gets a job offer from the nephew of the family's head of the household, Navin (Kangana Ranaut). Her presence disturbs the family's head of household, Gunvant. Though Maraya initially finds the situation intolerable and finds solace in drinking and playing gambling, she finds herself falling in love with Navin. Eventually, she finds herself facing a flirtation between her ex-boyfriend Raj (Rajkummar Rao) and Gunvant's daughter, Ananya (Tannishtha Chatterjee). The film was released on 24 May 2016. Twitchy gave the film 3 out of 5 stars, saying "Tamasha is an emotional melodrama that, to its credit, avoids melodrama. Kangana Ranaut's leading lady performance is one that's sure to be highlighted by critics and she deserves that, but Tamasha isn't just about her. Rajkummar Rao is equally strong as Gunvant, the man whose love for his daughter could drive a wedge between him and Maraya. The chemistry between Kangana and Rajkummar is good but doesn't take over the movie much :(". indiaglitz.com gave the film 3 out of 5 stars, saying "Tamasha may not be a masterpiece but surely it provides a lot of entertainment without any streak of vulgarity at all" Tamasha received mixed reviews from critics. The soundtrack of the movie consists mainly of music composed by Bhaskarabhatla Srinivasa Rao and lyrics by Kona Venkatram. The album was released on 23 May 2016 under Aditya Music banner.
